is there any reason malwarebytes is using up my graphics card memory? when im playing sc2, the computer is fine. if malware bytes happens to be running at the same time, sc2 gives me warnings about running out of pooled memory and graphics quality decreasing. after a while, the screen becomes really jerky and eventually crashes. if it comes back, the image shows the positions of the buildings, but not the actual buildings. my graphics card is the geforce gt240

Are you running MBAM scan and playing at the same time?
EDIT: If yes, Pls don't do so. Don't do any demanding tasks while scanning, especially gaming. Infact, do nothing. The scanning constantly accesses the files present in your computer and may consume a good amount of resource.

If you have the free version of Malwarebytes it is an on demand only scanner.

You have to open and run it.

As Ezio stated it can only do this if you are running the scan.

i would suggest you to use this software on-demand (just when you need it), it's the best solution for this program
set it to update manually, sometimes when it automatically updates, it also remains active in the background and uses a lot of ram, that's why you have trouble playing some games

I also have ...
CPU Q6600 and RAM 4GB (none of them overclocked)
Graphic card Ati 4890 and....
Many times i FULL scan with Malwarebytes or Superantispyware or ESET smart security during gaming in full specs and i never had any lag or problems.
IMO scan with malwarebytes has very little impact in any computer especially in new ones.
The attachment is during full scanning my pc with malwarebytes.

That's a good decision. Don't do demanding tasks while scanning. There's so much happening behind the scenes during this period. And thanks for the update.
