Malwarebytes on external hard drive

I would like to know if I have been doing it right or not.
Re: scanning my ext. hd using malwarebytes.....

Run the Malwarebytes first > then open Computer > click my ext hd icon.

Is that the right sequence ? I am having doubts.

All you need to do is open up malwarebytes, select full scan and click on scan, then choose whatever letter your ext drive is and click scan.



Or you can just right click on your drive from Computer, and run a quick scan with it from the context menu.

I never ran full scan and never paid attention to what it said at Full Scan.
The answer was there. I just did not read.
