The JRT tool will be integrated into the main MBAM program. Initially the tool will also remain as a stand alone tool. At some point it is expected that it will probably not be a stand alone tool but as with most things that could change in the future.

Will JRT be included in the free version? If so, will JRT have an option to "report only" or turn it off? I seem to recall that an old version of JRT deletes everything it finds with no way to bring it back (no quarantine). I had a problem with that once caused by what I considered a false positive on a specialized utility. A restore point brought it back along with saving me the trouble of removing JRT.

Yes the same technology except protection modules is in both Free and Premium. As for removal yes we will always show what we're going to remove and give you the option to remove or not remove in both Free and Premium.

AdvancedSetup I think you understand why some have worries.

Some of the anti virus programs are adding all kinds of garbage (toots and whistles) from Cloud storage, Myspace this and that. Youtube this and that and browser added on tool bars ect.

Then a once good anti virus program turns into nothing but something that argues with Windows 7 and the owner/operator of the computer.
That is the concern of many and I/them don't want it to happen to Malwarebytes.

I use JRT and think it's a great little program and it never caused me problems but I don't use it often like MSE and Malwarebytes.

MSE, Malwarebytes both have caused problems but only a couple of times each in all the years I have used both. That is a great record for both of them and I would like it to stay that way.

As of now Malwarebytes Premium does exactly what I got it for. It bytes the ass right out of malware.
Malwarebytes you are a good dog, now sit and keep watching for the bad things. Take a byte when need be.

Where most antivirus programs fail when they add new features.... is when they block without showing a message of exactly what they blocked or when they block something = everyone blames the browser
I believe mbam has a good malicious website blocking feature it shows an alert...

Hopefully the pupware blocker will be as informative
In a pup filled world of downloads it will be a welcomed feature,
Not sure I would add a separate tool for it but look forward to it being built into mbam

2.0 has been a bumpy road but it's looking pretty good now so far in the most recent version and the 1 prior was pretty good too
