I do not know where to look to find list of network locations. In Vista I could find and delete network locations. My network name has changed and while it shows up properly when connected via wireless, when I use the Lan connection it shows up under the old network name. When I try to leave my homegroup while in public mode....it says cannot leave homegroup. I know this is probably simple. What am I doing wrong?

I'm not sure i understand this, your network name, as in the SSID name of your wireless network? If so the only place i know that shows your SSID is in the listing in the network icon next to the speaker icon (bottom right). When you connect via LAN, are you saying the SSID that you can see from the location i mentioned, reverts back to the old SSID name?

Correct. In Vista I could, merge or delete network locations. I cannot find this option in 7 and thought that perhaps when I connected the LAN it was using the previous network connection. This is the only thing I could figure out as when I connect the LAN to the 2 Wire it now has two connections. One is unidentified connection and one is the old SSID. Suggestions if any are appreciated.

You can bridge connectin between a LAN and a wireless network. This is done in the "Change adapter settings" screen. If you want to manage your wireless networks, it's under "Manage wireless networks".

If you are still getting the cannot leave Homegroup message then check out this post which has a fix for that particular problem.
