Many BSODs after playing game, DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL etc

Hi there,

Several months ago I started getting many BSODs, crashes, freezes which turned out to be due to a cable fault. I now have the same issue, this time after playing a computer game. Just before it loaded a warning box popped up saying something about a driver being out of date. However the game loaded anyway, but part way through completely crashed, and I've been having issues since. It's so bad it can take more than 20 start ups and repair attempts to start properly. Some error messages I've had include:
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER
MEMORY_MANAGEMENT

So, I'm guessing it might be a driver issue... the problem is, I have no idea how to find my drivers, identify the faulty one, update it... I'm afraid of downloading the wrong thing and making it worse, so getting some instructions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for any help in advance. Dumps attached:

Hi, okay, I've run the memtest for 8 passes. No errors. I haven't tested the sticks yet.

Re: McAfee, it's now uninstalled.

Re: Nividia nforce Serial ATA Controller- Option 2 wasn't able to evaluate my hardware. Do you have a suggestion as to which product I should try downloading manually?

Re: ATI video drivers- I believe I updated these successfully, although some text and pictures now sometime very slightly pixellated as I scroll up and down.. nothing else is wrong, but have I stuffed that up?

Re: SFC, no problems detected.

Re: chkdsk /f/r, it's scheduled to run next time I boot up the comp.

Re: my BIOS, I checked and there's nothing since 2009, the latest is just dated 2009/11/19. :/

Gah, sorry. I followed your Nvidia driver link, and selected the Windows 7 x64 option, but the setup won't work, it says it could not locate drivers compatible with my hardware. :/

Yes, I'm still getting the BSODs. As for the results of chkdsk, I think they were okay, no errors stood out while it was running, there were no bad file records or files in bad sectors, some files were cleaned up (do you need me to post the full results log?).. however, I got a round of BSODs after chkdsk finished and restarted the computer, so the problem seems the same. The error message is usually "The media is write protected." which wasn't the case before, if that means anything.

Hi, I've updated the ATA driver, thank you for that! I haven't yet found the appropriate driver update for Intel, the automatic detector didn't find one so I have to update manually. However, uninstalling MyWinlocker and/or running chkdsk again seems to have helped a lot; I haven't had a BSOD or freeze for a couple of days since doing those two things. Hopefully the main problem has been fixed, we'll see.

Hi, just a quick update. I hadn't had any trouble since my last post, until today, when the computer froze shortly after starting up, needing to be manually restarted. There was no BSOD or anything else though, and maybe it was caused by something unrelated. I'll wait another week and see before marking this solved.

Right! Finally got another BSOD, amid a couple of freezes. However it was a frozen BSOD and it didn't say it was collecting crash dump data like it sometimes does, so I dunno if it worked properly, we'll see I guess.

Same again, corrupt files Im afraid.

All I can suggest is that you go back throught the thread and attempt to update all the drivers
that havent been updated yet.

Create a :ar: system restore point then Run Driver Verifier to scan for any corrupted drivers
which may be causing problems, this program works by running various stress tests on drivers,
in order to produce a BSOD which will locate the driver; run for least 24 hours:

Hi, sorry for the delay.

I've updated those drivers without issue, thanks. The tests were okay, the chkdsk results looked fine but after the computer restarted it went through a long string of BSODs. :/

As for overclocking, do you mean I'd have to reset the whole computer to default settings? If so is there any way to correct the current speed without having to do that?

The latest SF tool results are attached.
