Many different BSOD's when gaming or watching videos

Interesting, alright then, should I post my results from when I ran Furmark earlier? and I will get on with those tests in the mean time

Hey, I had work and all that so sorry for the delay in my response, but I ran those 2 tests right, looked up the 'Tcase' temp for my processor which is supposed to be the max recommended temperature right, but shortly after running each test my CPU quickly jumps up above 60C so I keep stopping the tests in case it overheats or something, though the other components of my computer are running at good temperatures.

The tests themselves weren't run for very long so they didn't really find any errors or anything, what do you think I should do? I know I'll probably have to buy a liquid cooler for my CPU either way I suppose

Okay..
What setting are you games on while playing? Do you enhance them so that they play better or look better?
(sorry if I sound dumb, but I don't play games) You might want to see how they work without those settings.
Keep them in the lowest possible and see if you're getting BSoDs

Oh I usually set them all to max, and now that I think about it.... there was an older game I was playing, FEAR 2 on max which doesn't have nearly has good graphics as some of the newer games I have been playing, also on max... though it would still occasionally freeze up a bit while playing it, hmmmm

Well, maybe that could be the reasons to your BSoDs and your hardware should be okay.
But if you get BSoDs on lowest settings then I don't know where the problem is. LOL :banghead:

Hey so I've been watching videos, movies, all that while on my SSD and it doesn't freeze or anything like my HDD does... I'm going to install some older games on my SSD too and see if they work, I know that with while in the OS on my SSD, when I run a game off of the HDD it definitely gives me a BSOD but maybe not if it's installed on the SSD, so I'm gonna install a newer game on the SSD and see if it works

oh okay, I know a few times when this first started happening, I would get a BSOD and have to take a few tries to boot up, and when I did I would have to run system repair, which would run disk check, and it would tell me that there are bad sectors so it would have to repair them so I think that they are 'repaired' if that helps

Also, I've run seatools, short and long tests and both harddrives and all the tests were passes, hmmm, should I run the DOS one as well?

And I'm gonna start looking at these links you posted

hmm I read through the article, looked around a little online and it says that harddrives should typically be replaced after about 5 years or so it said. Also, that there are soft and hard bad sectors... hmmm

Either way, before I replaced the mobo, gpu, cpu, RAM and added the SSD, my computer was running fine... just veeeeery slowly haha, maybe my old harddrive can't keep up with the higher end parts or something?

Umm is the hard drive a new one?
It might be faulty. Borrow a hard drive from a friend or someone..see whether it has the same issues or not.

Hey sorry for the delay, my landlord changed the internet provider so I didn't have any internet at all....

Anyway, I installed a high-end game on my SSD and was playing it for a while... I didn't even get one BSOD it ran fine.

My SSD is brand new, and my HDD is like.... almost 8 years old actually, maybe it's time for a new one?
