many problems with seven

hi ppl,

i wonder whether you guys have similar experiences like mine:

after vista 64 worked perfectly for me over months, i wanted to give seven a try ( the full professional version from msdnaa, also 64 bit).
installation and configuration all worked perfectly, however after that, i had to find several more or less serious problems in seven.

- any window opening or closing animation with aero activated seems to hang for something like 10 milliseconds or so. when opening, right before the window reaches its full size. when closing, right at the beginning of the animation. it almost feels like the window has to dock and undock from its full size. however i doubt that this is a feature, as its annoying like hell. on the other hand, i almost cannot believe that microsoft couldnt fix this issue earlier, or even didnt realize it. so what the **** is this?
under vista all aero animations are perfectly smooth.

- another problem arises with playing videos. i tried doing so, like always, with the cccp pack and media player classic home cinema. however after trying all output codecs, either the movie's stretched images look unfiltered or the performance gets bad. it looks like the movie has too few frames per second. under vista this was always smooth.

- for example the bubbles screen saver is horrible choppy. as if my pc was way too slow. however, again, the respective screen saver works perfectly smooth under vista.

my pc's hardware is fine and fast enough, vista runs smooth, windows 7 is genuine and activated, all drivers are newly downloaded. my mainboard also has the newest bios.

any experiences / news / workarounds / ideas?

ok, the bubble screensaver runs smoothly if i disable the second display connected to my gfx card.
however the slow frame rate in media player classic remains.
no ideas anyone?:sarc:

Does the window close with a sort of time-warped minimization? Like it closes normally, but takes like 10 seconds longer?
I have the problem occasionally, and a restart usually fixes it.

As to your other problem, it may be that Seven does not fully support your video card. Try a different driver, or make sure it is Seven x64 compatible. Also, you could try another video card.
