Hi All,

I have an HPE 520 NL, x64 desktop, windows 7 home premium SP1. I have had many intermittent startup problems, with some elements hanging at shut down. I'm not well enought versed in this to figure it all out myself -- too computer illterate. Everything from DCOM servor error 10010, to Easybits service failing to start, to the print spooler failing to share (error 2114), to Ralink UPnP Media Server timeout, etc. No system errors with sfc scannow, no hard disk errors with chkdsk.

I am attempting to upload the Event Viewer administrative logs as a zip file and hope that it works.

If anyone can advise, I would be very, very grateful!

Thanks so much,
T

Work through these Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7 to gather clues to the problem, disinfect, try fixes like the System File Scanner (if necessary from boot), and help optimize Win7 so it performs best.

But if you're running the original HP factory install you should know that is the worst possible install one can have to begin with, with the worst load of bloatware that throttles WIn7 native performance. For this reason most tech enthusiasts choose to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. At the minimum I'd Clean Up Factory Bloatware
