Hi there,

it seems Microsoft has changed how to map a network. I can map a network drive fine in Vista but not in 7. It always connects as my current user, assistance would be great.

\\irsserver\yourusername$\

My Computer

OS
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
It goes like this:

\\ipaddress\sharename
or
\\machinename\sharename

And the $ at end of the share name is used when wanting to hide the share on the network.

Then you should be prompted for user-pass unless you are the same user-pass as the machine you are trying to map.
