Mapping Network Shared External Drive

We have a company drive that we map folders from to certain computers. They reconnected at log in like normal. However, we have a separate external drive that when I map a folder from it, it never reconnects on log in. I have set the folder permissions for the user I want. I have tried directly connecting with the folder share name and also using the IP address of the server. They will initially connect when you set it up at first, but then it never reconnects to the drive/folder when logging back on. I have tried almost everything I can find and it still never seems to connect.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Hello,

Is this a NAS (Network Attached Storage) Device? or a USB Ext. drive connected to the Server?

I would compare the ipconfig /all of a client computer from the Server, if the Device is connected to the Server via USB cable. Compare the DNS Address, shd be identical.

Same DNS listed.

It is a USB External Drive connected to the server. Our server has 4 Mirror drives and this one (F) is just an additional storage space.

The external is still listed as a local disk, where as the rest are listed as a network drive.

The external is shared as a folder named 'Backup' which is then on the main server folder listing.

I am not sure if any of this needs to be configured differently.
