This is potentially bad news for W7 and the W8 Series fans.

MS will be forced to "accidentally" include GWX (or worse) in the monthly update rollups for those operating systems.

Since a bunch of brilliant "somebodies" has informed ms that everyone loves popup messages I'm sure anything will just produce a nag to upgrade for free or not it won't matter sort of like the full screen reminder update
Either way I sure don't need 2 win-10's I don't use the one I have.

Good point. Fortunately, I've got images dating back to before, and well before, GWX. And of course there's always the reinstall option, if you still have the media to do so.

Yea I thought there was a way to turn off tips but that too could be limited
Seems best as usual to just unpin edge from the taskbar it pretty much bites anyway.

Changing the default will probably be restricted too before to long along with any other built in apps to something else

My simple thinking.

Instead of Microsoft trying to create ways to force Edge or other programs into people's computers; why not just make Edge and other programs in such a fashion where people want to use Edge and other programs?

Would not that approach work for Microsoft and it's customers?

Putting all of the MS apps in the apps store to download is freaking outrageous thinking people would miss them and MS would never allow that to happen
