Not at all sure why but did it anyway seeing I didn't use win-8 so it's a wash just another os I'll likely not use

In the case of Operating systems it basically means number of visits for each OS, to a set of sites, It's a way of giving a figure but has many flaws - One is that the actual OS used can be spoofed to show others,(useful to visit some sites which are designed to work with a particular OS), and it relies on the device actually being connected to the Net and visiting one of the monitored sites.
These checks often concentrate on a particular market so can totally disregard the others (especially the huge Chinese market where the authorities prevent access to the net except for Chinese sites )
I personally totally ignore these "Market Share" sites as they are often so "off" to be useless
Due to reasons I cannot mention My system does not allow me to visit the Statcounter site as it is seen as a "ClickBait" Site
