I really hope someone can help me b/c I've been in computer hell for 4 days now. Long story short, my hard drive in my Dell Studio 1745 died. Finally got my data recovered from the drive. I reformatted that drive and reinstalled Win7, but it hung up alot. I did this several times and finally did a chkdsk /r and bad clusters were found. I just bought a WD Black hard drive and installed it this evening. Got Win7 installed, but in the Device Manager, it shows a "Mass Storage Controller" with an exclamation point beside it. I figure it's some sort of driver, but I don't know what it could be. I haven't installed any other programs yet. Just Win7. What could be causing this problem?
There was another item underneath the "Other Devices" menu that also had an exclamation point, but I downloaded the driver at Drivers and Downloads (it's some sort of motion sensor driver), and that exclamation point disappeared, but not the other one.
I have not modified the registry. This is a brand new Win7 install on a brand new hard drive (and thankfully, this one isn't hanging up!!)

I've already done that and have installed all drivers needed for my system. I'm pretty sure this driver is for a card reader, but then again, I'm not sure since I have no problems with my memory card. I've downloaded the driver, but when I try to install it, it tells me that it's not a valid Win32 application. Yet, this is a driver listed for my service tag and Win7 64bit.
