I've found the solution for my problem with media center in windows seven ultimate what i did to resolve the issue on my system was to completely quit using the f*&^%$%# useless program and use a program that actually works like cyber power dvd 8 and it works just fine so that was one of my fixes for the redundant piece of s+&* program that microsoft has that won't even become useful even if you format the drive and install a clean install of the os and it won't even work after that you get the same f^%$#@! results after the re install of the os and as far as the backup f*&^(%$ program that does nothing but lock up my super blue ray lg cd's I just quit using the piece of s*&^ and used another cyber power program that actually f(*&^%$ works and does exactly what you want it to do and does perfectlly on a backup and does'nt lock up your sys like the piece of s)(* that microsoft calls a back up system in windows seven ultimate it performs well and just keeps on backing up on multiple cds and just hands you the cd and asks for another cd to continue kinda like a backup system should work and that is the way i fixed the f&^%$#@ piece of s&^% that microsoft calls a backup system thiers is a really f&^%$# up piece of s&^% and never has worked on this new cyber power system since i started using it and it never will because the microsoft backup sys is a f*&^%$ up piece of s&^% and will never work unless you are one of those super sleuths and i hope one of them has the b*&&^ to contact me on this issue because i really don't think any of them can fix the f*&^%$ up piece of s*&^ okay guys and gals so yall be careful out there ya heah!

Holy crap, that was one unreadable long "sentence!" I gave up after the first twenty or so words. Sorry to hear you had such a hard time getting WMC working. I've had both 32 and 64 bit versions working perfectly. I'll bet your problem was because of codec packs installed and not properly configured.

My media center issue is resolved but the backup issue with backing up my sys to multiple cds is still not working so does anyone out there have any suggestions to resolve the issue with the windows seven ultimate system backup program that will allow you to back up to multiple cds and continue the sys backup!

Wouldn't use Microsofts backup full stop.

Have you considered a different strategy?

I do all my backups using Acronis TrueImage for my system drive and using SyncBackPro for everything else to physical hard drives although I believe that it can do CD / DVD backups.

As part of my install process I make sure that the User Profiles folder (i.e. C:\Users) is relocated to another drive, I also make sure that 'My Documents' is also moved. Then I can restore my system drive in 15 minutes flat and be up and running again with zero data loss.

My data drive I mirror to an external USB storage unit - the kind that sits on your desk and lets you drop a SATA hard drive into it. Any time I buy an additional hard drive or increase the size of an existing one I buy two drives, one will always be a mirror of the other.
