Media Player always starts in mini mode

I know this is a simple setting because I found it initially when I installed Win7 before but I cannot remember where it is now to save my butt. Anything it opens starts the player is the small tiny window and I want it to open in normal size mode which is close to full screen. Where is this setting at?

you can click on the upper right square, drag a corner to resize, or click on the diagonal upper arrow.

Thank you but I have done that but it does not stay that way. If I re-open the same song/video or a different one it starts small again. Basically the resize I set is not sticking but all other windows are staying to the size I set, media player is being difficult.
