My media player will not sync up to my or my wife's Sony MP3 player. I haven't had this problem before. They have always sync-ed up and worked perfectly. I have windows 7.

Any ideas?

Are the MP3 players detected when you plug them in by Windows? May not be a WMP problem but some other issue, if Windows is not detecting them then WMP will not either.

Thank you....yes...windows does recognize them.....when I go to devices and hardware, they are both listed when they are plugged in.

If this is a recent problem, the System Restore MAY fix the problem. System Restore can be accessed from Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools. System Restore will not delete any user data or e-mails. Select a restore date that is before you had the problem.

Another option is to connect one of the devices and then go to the Device Manager and uninstall the device. Disconnect the device and then restart the PC. After Windows starts connect the device and let windows detect and reinstall it. If there were a corruption between Windows and the device this should fix it.
