Mega Man Legends is failing!

I recently installed Mega Man Legends for the PC. I did a full install from the CD and ran the program- but it goes to a black screen after the Capcom logo.

All my other games are fine, my video card is in working condition and my computer is in fine shape.

Compatibility mode perhaps? Also, it's an emulator that you're running the game through, am I correct? Perhaps the emulator doesn't fully support that game, as with most emulators.

And no, it's the actual PC game, like on an actual CD-ROM.
