Memory and CPU Usage Does Not Match Processes List

My system is using a lot of memory and CPU time so I looked at Task Manager to see where all the resources are being consumed. The problem is that the numbers don't match up. For instance under Performance the Task Manager reports 7.6GB of memory usage. However, when I add up the about 140 processes I only get to 4.3GB. So where did all the other 3.3GB go?

Could you post a shot of resource monitor showing the memory tab ?

Adding up the memory usage column will never equal total memory usage. It was never intended that it would. The "Memory (Private Working Set)" column does not show full process usage and there are major users of memory that are not processes, not all of which are shown by Task Manager.

Post a screenshot of Task Manager -Performance tab so we can see the situation.
