MEMORY and x86 error

apparently i have 32 bit office installed.

I have no time to reinstall.

Excel is freaking out on me. I have a 1500kb excel sheet open and I can't add a row.

System resources low, try the x64 version error message.
and....excel just crashed.
I have rebooted and have several free GIGS of memory.

EDIT: it's probably my OS drive. 6 of 68GB free. My pc flips out when I get to around 10%

What is happening here?

I should have looked first, but I really need to get this SS done.

Off to research right now.

Freed up space...didn't work. Installing 64bit.

Lack of free disc space will cause the problems you are having. Windows likes to have at least 10% of free space, but on applications such as your large spreadsheet a lot more may be required.

Installing the 64 bit version will probably make matters worse as the 64 bit version usually needs a larger installation space requirement.

You really have no choice other than replacing the hard drive.

There has got to be something happening
1500kb is not a big SS
2 worksheets and maybe 200 rows and 15 columns MAX
14 out of 75GB of space available.

Running nothing but basics
Excel is EATING my memory.

12.6GB of memory and it's just sitting there!

I have no idea why this is happening. It's almost like there is something hidden somewhere but there isn't AFAIK. I deleted everything outside of the TINY amount of data but NADA.
Copied and pasted into a new SS and it's working OK now.

So....that SS must be corrupt but why would it eat 98% of my memory?
I will say...this is a dump from QuickBooks. Just another piece of the puzzle. However, I worked for 5 hours on this SS and had no problems. They just materialized this a.m.
