Memory leak for process svchost.exe
Hey guys, I seem to be having issues with this particular process on my desktop. svchost.exe keeps increasing the longer I keep my computer open and I end up having to restart every two week or so because it just gets to the point where other programs I have start getting affected - ie. music players will start having songs stutter. Here is how it looks currently:
Services in the process:
Is there any known Windows update where it will resolve this issue? Thanks!

Hi,
A while back now windows updates service was throwing svchost for a loop
Simple solution was to stop the windows update service and see if a couple updates were installed if not manually install them
Just refer to post #2 here for details

I checked my installed updates and it does list show that I have KB3020369 and KB3172605 installed already. Should I just turn off the updating service?

The issue seems to stem from this specfic svchost:
So it does seem to be similar to the thread you linked. I'll try to disable what was mentioned in the thread.

Try changing DNS. Easy way:
Paypal login returns "obsolete cipher suite" error then freezes
Try running ZHP Cleaner but use with caution:
ZHPCleaner Download (Official) | Nicolas Coolman
ZHP Cleaner will remove all items unless you validate your choices first before closing the window. See more on that here:
Weird browsing
Then if the issue persists tr running
RAMMap
Right click and "run as administrator"
On the "File Summary" tab sort by "Active" with highest at the top and if anything shows up as using a lot of memory.
Also when the program is running try selecting items under the "Empty" button on the toolbar and see if that makes a difference.

Nothing of note from running RAMMAP:
The empty commands under the empty button on the toolbar cleared out the mem usage though. It went from 7gigs to 5 gigs.
ZHPCleaner didn't do much besides clearing some empty folders.
Changed my DNS - will keep it on for a few days and see if it fixes it.
