Solved Memory RAM advice

Also Id like to ask, if I purchase 3 of those RAMS and one DIMM slot is empty does it affect the performance? Since these DIMM slots are like doubles.

You are better buying kits (2x2GB or 4x2GB) as they're manufactured to work together, but it should be OK. You would lose the dual channel function though.

Yes that makes sense, Im going to boost up the memory a bit to 16GB no less. So Ill get 4 RAM sticks of 4GB for each DIMM slot. Totaling up to 16GB which would be suffice for now.

So I think your effort and assistance is accomplished guys. Thanks for the patients and support and Ill give a brief update how the PCs performance goes when I get my RAM on the weekend.

Kind regards.

Hi guys.

unfortunately I copt a BSOD again after one week... I thought the issue was solved but seems its not after all.

My screen as I was about to turn off my pc gave me this error message:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

I'm a bit disappointed that my issue wasn't resolved as I thought. But Ill tackle it again in future at some point, because I need
my pc desperately at this current stage.

It's Avast that's being blamed (nothing new there).

   Note
Make sure you uncheck the 'Enable Free Trial' box when installing.

:ar: Uninstall Daemon Tools Lite, a proven cause of BSODs.

1. Uninstall Daemon Tools Lite via Add/Remove Programs.
2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and perform the following steps.
3. Double click the executable to open it.
4. Click the button shown below.

   Information
If the button it is grayed out as shown in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system and you can just close the window.

:ar: Free up the Startup, all you need starting with Windows is your AV. The rest just impairs performance. The highlighted programs below should be removed from Startup and run on demand, DaemonTools should be uninstalled as previously discussed.

Good morning from down under.

I Uninstalled AVAST and Daemon Tools Lite. And installed Microsoft essentials.

The only thing which worries me about MalwareBytes is, in the past Ive used it to perform a scan, and it deleted files which it suspected were malware without me suspecting it did so, and I when in future I wanted to use them, I had to reinstall them cos I was told it was Malwarebytes who causes this type of issue.

Regarding the SPTD standalone installer is it required since I do have another ISO mounting software?

I also found some suspicious software running on start up which is indicated in red.

And also some of the ones you have listed previously in your chart high lighted in yellow, are not in my list for me to remove.
Ive seen some other ones. if it recommended I also remove those ones too?

MalwareBytes is fine, I've never heard of it deleting files people need. Running the free version on demand should never cause this issue as far as I'm aware.

The SPTD uninstaller is required as it's SPTD that causes BSODs, awful stuff. You'll need to remove any software using it.

The programs highlighted in Startup, if you don't know what they are then get them uninstalled. After that run a MalwareBytes scan followed by a scan of SuperAntiSpyware as linked in my signature.

There were a couple hiccups with MBAM in the past,

https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/125132-malwarebytes-deleting-windows-system-files/

It is still a safe program though, just double check anything it flags or quarantines.
