Memory remapping problem

Hello!

I bought a new motherboard recently because my old one broke down.
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, and with my old motherboard I was able to use all 4 GB's of RAM. When I switched to the new motherboard I could only use 3,25 GB RAM. I went in to Bios and enabled the Memory hole remapping -setting, but then the graphic card driver won't work, and it seems like the graphic card uses both its own memory (512 mb) and shared memory. If I go back in to Bios and disable Memory hole remapping I can only use 3,25 GB again, but the graphic card driver works instead. Is there any way to use all 4 Gb's of ram and get the graphic card driver to work again?

Some older GPU's will and can use extra RAM if it requires it, it will be automatically allocated to it which is probably why it's showing up as it is on your system. The only option that I know of is to upgrade your GPU. Unless some one on here knows something else. It's not going to hurt or hinder your system in any way. It's the same way with on-board graphics.

Have you tried booting to safe mode and reinstalling the graphics card driver with the mapping enabled?

Hi Unfortunately it isn't going to get better :( here is a snippet from your mobo handbook;

This is very surprising as they claim you can use up to 16GB RAM, give me a chance to read the complete manual maybe there is more

Ok I have read through the manual and have found nothing to add to the above, if anything I have a new question and that would be what would happen if you install more ram? Answer I do not know :( but I guess that you will be able to use more but still have a chunk missing.
