"You" cannot allocate the max. amount of RAM to graphics. It all depends on your motherboard. If you have a new motherboard which supports upto 8GB RAM, you should be fine.

I did not mean 8 GB only for graphics..I meant with a mobo that supports 8 gb ram,how much can I allocate for graphics?

No you cannot allocate anything from RAM to graphics. Its upto the video memory. If this video card gives 1GM RAM, then your graphics video memory will be 1GB and system memory will be 8 GB.

The game itself dictates how much much system memory is used.

It will use X amount of VRAM (the cards memory) and then utilise X amount of system memory.

You cannot allocate the resources yourself.
