Solved MEMORY_MANAGEMENT blue screen

Hi,

I am getting blue screen error( MEMORY_MANAGEMENT) during windows 7 installation. I have even changed the RAM but still I am getting the same error. I have tested the RAM with MEMTEST 86+, there were no errors.
If I use safe mode during windows 7 setup I am not getting blue screen error. if i boot normally i am getting the same MEMORY_MANAGEMENT BSOD.
Formatted the entire HDD..and loaded optimised defaults in bios, disabled PCI,USB3 .and HPET to 64bit.
During windows setup bootup i get only option Windows 7 setup[EMS enabled].
If i continue i get BSOD.
I pressed f8 and booted in safe mode.

My config:
intel core i5 2500k (not overclocked)
Gigabyte P67A-UD3-B3 v1.1 bios f3 and f4 tried both same errors..
4gb corsair CMV4GX3M1A1333C9 ram.
Nvidia gtx 560ti
seagate 500gb.

Hello Eagle, I guess your previous thread wasn't solved after all... or is this a different machine?

For us to help you'll need to post BSOD info like you did before and... this should probably have gone in a BSOD thread. If it is the same machine that is...

This is the same machine but i bought new ram stick and trying to install windows 7...i cant enter windows so cant post bsod dumps... I clean formatted the HDD

New RAM stick or stickS?

Won't it even boot and let you get to .dmp files in Safe Boot?

single ram stick. I tried all four ram slots same error. I am getting this while installing windows 7 . After i press install now-> in setup is starting page it is crashing with BSOD.

If i enter setup in safe mode -i can go furthur and install , after install when system reboots it crashes with same BSOD,if i enter safe mode setup says you cannot continue setup in safe mode.

So i think some driver/device is faulty(same happens with vista or xp setup) . I disabled usb3,leagacy pci. I will try disabling on board nic and try when i go back to home.

And gparted live cd booted without any errors(used this to format HDD and create one ntfs partition for windows)

How much mem on the stick? This is strange, unless you have bought the wrong memory for your mobo.

all at default settings 1.5v 9-9-9-24 as specified in site.

Assuming the RAM is ok.... let's go back to step by step testing, starting with your MOBO and its BIOS. You said earlier that you've set the BIOS to default settings (restored). Correct? Are those settings up to date?
Will the system work ok if booted from cd with test software like memtest etc?
In other words, are you sure it is not hardware?

The only thing i didnt try is disabling onboard NIC. I will try when i reach home after 2-3 hours ..

So you've already seen that this setup incl new RAM, works fine with a Vista install?

No same with vista i got same BSOD, with windows xp setup irql_less_than equal.
And some times PFN list corrupted with windows 7 .Memory Management is almost all the times.


Can this be because of cpu memory control corrupted or motherboard?

Not if memtest86+ runs ok for >7 passes (i.e. a full night).. I would n't think so.
But I would expect other HW-BIOS combinations to have a issue.

I'll check again what you've posted before but add all info you have on MOBO and BIOS (versions etc.

Gigabyte P67A-UD3-B3 v1.1 bios f3 ,f4. f4 is latest.(tried both same error). I switched back to f3 .

sata 6 gb/s ports 0- HDD port 1 - dvd writer (sata 3gb/s ports 0-3 all empty)

pci x16 - sparkle nvidia gtx 560 ti

4gb ram in slot 1 i.e closest to cpu(tried all slots)

back case fan in system fan port , front intake fan direct power supply.

back usb port 3 = keyboard(bulzer comapny name)

back usb port 4= logitech MX518 optical mouse.

Thanks. F3 is known to be stable. The MOBO sometimes has SATA2 issues but you have had previous stabel performance right? If I recall correctly your problems started with installing Afterburner. How long and on what OS had the pc been running before that?

We either try to isolate what combination of BIOS/HW is giving you problems.. or

In this case I would probably 'start over'... use another PC if possible, to download the correct F3 BIOS on usb/disc. Load that.

Boot with W7 new install and do a full fresh install, including disk formatting.

It's a pain... I know. But probably safest.

Even if you boot with a W7 cd and force reformatting of the hard disk??

After windows setup loads and when i press on install now option it BSODs some times even before that it bsods...

Starting to baffle a bit here... as I don't know how experienced you are with windows installations, forgive me if I state or check the obvious: have you done a real clean install of W7, including all settings neede for the HD as per this tut:

I'd try this and follow it to the letter.

Either something is wrong in your install procedure... or there is a setting in your BIOS that now causes problems

tried installing ubuntu...squashfs pagefile error.(reason can be bad memory,cable(tried changed cable and port) according ubuntu community).

I think something is wrong with the hardware. I will wait for my XMS3 ram module ,gave it for rma.

After using xms3 also it crashes i will rma my mobo ..

Guess you're right, good luck with that, hope it solves it... btw, i'm not 100% sure but BEFORE you put in new RAM, check if your current ram is ok in another PC. You wouldn't want a blown mobo messing up new RAM, would you....
