eSATA is external SATA, it is a direct connection to the SATA controller on the motherboard.

A USB flash stick will boot memtest, loads it into RAM and runs.

You can't burn a CD/DVD?

I'm pretty sure you could get it to boot via an external, but it would be easiest for you to do it with a CD/DVD or USB flash drive that's currently empty.

I think the external HDD would work as the same method as the USB flash drive, but as F5ing suggested, a CD/DVD would be the best option.

@x BlueRobot: The Auto-installer for USB Key (Win 9x/2k/xp/7) Memtest86+ can't detect my external HDD. See pic.
Since I don't have any spare CD/DVD, is there anyway that I can use Poweriso to create a virtual disk and boot from it?

Remove all data from your USB hard drive and try:

YUMI - Multiboot USB Creator (Windows) | USB Pen Drive Linux

Use it to install the iso directly on the hard drive.

@F5ing: I don't have any spare USB only a external HD. Also I tried Multiboot creator but it says boot failed. And now I'm getting strange sounds from my speaker (normal mode), themes changing/mixing, programs starting without me opening it.

It's a USB hard drive, right?

See if YUMI recognizes it. If it does, remove all your data from it, then use YUMI to make it bootable and install the memtest iso.

Are you talking about the YUMI Multiboot creator? The one I linked to?

Yes. It's the safest way I know of. There are other ways to make it bootable, but I don't want to risk the chance of data loss in the process.

That should not cause any issues; it's the same one I've used multiple times (for a few years, at least).

Well there's no problem with the link and the file, the issue is that I'll have to delete 262.4 GB of data on the drive but I can't because it contains important files. I'll try to make a virtual CD using Poweriso if possible and boot from that if also possible.

You're trying to make a silk purse from a sow's ear mate. If you have USB stick, temporarily move that data from one, format it and them use it for memtest. Later you can move the previous data bac and leave memtest on it.
On second though, just whack the memtest iso to a stick with enough room, it should still boot it.
