Memtest86 Results Interpretation

I recently ran Memtest86 because I was trying to diagnose some freeze ups which had started randomly and with increasing frequency. I'm assuming this indicates the ram should be replaced, but I'd like another opinion.

Yes that does indicate you have a problem with your RAM. Do you only have a single stick or two? If you have two, remove one and run MemTest again, if no faults are found swap the sticks and run again until you find the bad stick. If you only have one then it's time to replace.

Not a bad idea. In theory any combination of compatible RAM should work. But things don't always work that way in the real world. In difference in module specifications or even manufacturer can cause problems. Matched modules are the most trouble free.
