Menu size

Hi Guys, some of my Windows explorer menu's are different.

For example:

Many files for example have a compact and small menu like AppData:

But some other files for example My Documents have a normal menu size:

I can always reinstall Windows, but is that really necessary?

Changing and restoring theme failed, will SFC scan after anti-virus scans.

Removing possibly some viruses and a bunch of errors is more effort than reinstalling and installing 120 updates.

I think Faceofjoe421 may have meant possibly undiscovered/unknown infections.

Once you have finished reinstalling, remember to make at least one backup HDD image.

After searching through my regedit, and more googling, I know why you got that error in sfc / scannow.

The file that it says there was an error with (CBS.Log), is the file that is related to the width height of the explorer tabs.

This is caused by an infection (more than likely a virus) or malicious software / files (malware <-- Incase you didnt know, this is very dangerous)

I would advise downloading Malware Bytesto see if it is malware. Or if you just don't want to face all of the fuss, just Reinstall Windows 7. This should completely wipe the whole system of any problems such as the height of tabs, etc.

I actually used Malwarebytes, it found 5 viruses, but the problem persists.
