My Boot Partition (C Drive) is around 97.5GB and I want to extend the volume to around 150GB. So I made into partitions. Look at the picture. I want to merge both the C and G drives. When I select C drive and the select merge partitions, it shows that it can only be merged with D drive. I can't merge C and G drives. Please someone help me!

That`s because it`s not next to C, just extend C into D (but D is a Logical partition, so that may be an issue.) You can change it to a Primary partition if you want to, but do not try to do it with windows disk management, it won`t let you, use the program you have there, and please read any warning messages before proceeding.

If you try to make more then 4 Primary partitions on a MBR disk, it will turn that disk from Basic to Dynamic ( YOU DO NOT WANT THAT TO HAPPEN ) and you will certainly get a warning message before you try.

I recommend using Partition Wizard over any other partitioning program.

What is on G and why is it marked Active ?

Please post a full shot of Disk Management before going any further.

G drive is empty. I just want to merge it into C. And I set it as active! Is anything wrong with it?

there is a partition in the way

Merge Partitions feature can be used to add unallocated space to any partition on the same disk, or merge two adjacent partitions into one. therefore, you cannot merge C with G. If I were you, I would shrink volume (G drive) to get unallocated space and then try Merge Partitions.
