The complete message is "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key"

System:
Asrock extreme3 gen3 z68 motherboard
intel i7 2600k
16gb g.skill ram
1.5TB WD harddrive
64GB crucial m4 ssd
sapphire radeon hd 7970

Recently re-installed windows using a bootable usb as i have no optical drive
installed drivers and some software
Made SSD into a raid cache
went to reboot computer after some windows updates and now i get the above message.
Bios sees the hard drives
using the bootable usb for windows repair shows no installations of windows, and the cmd doesn't show the hard drives,

Things i have tried:
Turned the SSD back into a normal drive
Removed the SSD Entirely
Used bootable usb for windows repair
Used the CMD console from repair to try bootrec
Re-installing windows entirely

I found that windows repair doesn't recognize the windows installation on the HDD and also does not recognize the HDD itself.

On trying to re-install widows i was given no option to select a drive to install on, and it would not continue.

Put linux mint on a flash drive, It recognized the HDD but gave the error "Unable to mount 1.5 TB Volume - Adding read ACL for uid 999 to `/media/mint' failed: Operation not supported"
