messenger not working

Hi all, I have windows 7 home prem, on 2 computers and I cant get msn messenger to work on either one. I keep getting message "WINDOWS LIVE MESSENGER HAS STOPPED WORKING" then closes program.
I have uninstalled .. then reinstalled, been searching online for solution with no luck.
Can anyone help? would be much appreciated !

Windows Live Essentials beta

Download Essentials and select the services you require and then try
