Hi all! I have a query with Windows Messenger in Windows 7. On all previous Windows when are using messenger if you reduce the chat box/boxes each window had it's own icon in the bar at the bottom of the page, now they all go into one box which you have to open before you can open the window where a chat reply has been received. Does anyone know if you can do this in windows 7? It seems silly to me that you now have to carry out two operations where you only needed to carry out one in the past, any healp would very welcome!

Cheers

Paul

just find msnmsgr.exe and right click and make compatibilty for vista, and it will be like normal.

EDIT:hmm maybe thats not what you want, your question is a bit hard to understand, in win 7 there are separate windows for each messenger window which seems to be how you want it, so now im not sure what u mean.

Hi, thanks for the reply I'll try the Vista thing. What it is is that if I am chatting to three people when I minimise the chat windows they all go into one Messenger box, to re-open one I have to open that box and then select the chat box I weant and click on that.

with aero, on the taskbar shows 3 seperate boxes if i am have three conversations going, and when i put the mouse on them i get a preview of all the chat windows and just need to click on the one i want. so i guess i should ask, are you using aero?. the vista thing i mentioned before was just to keep the main messenger window off the taskbar when minimised.
