(SOLVED) Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance Windows 7 64 bit

does anyone have this game on Windows 7 64 bit? i tried running this game to my OS Windows 7 64 bit but im receiving a Not Responding pop up

Thanks for your replay but i just solve my problem using "ALchemy Universal" it runs fine without any major issue thanks

hello sorry for late ok wait i`m upload something (am having a major issue on my internet speed)

EDIT: ok here it is, i attached the file called "Dsound MGS Fix" it contains "dsound.ini" and "dsound.dll" this file is clean although you can scan it if you want, this is the only way to fix to play game in Windows 7 extract these file to the Bin folder (i can't remember the exact location) but you can right-click your game shortcut and click Open-file-location and you should be in Bin folder thats all have fun

PS: this file is not mine i got it somewhere (i forgot where it is) and any case its all credit to him/her

i`m not very sure how to explain this but i believe Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance is specially made only with OS that has DX9 , if your were using Vista/Windows 7 you well having a problem if only you can turn off the Sound Acceleration using DXDIAG but only DX9 has that setting so using "ALchemy Universal" well do the job although it may not work with other games

I'm very sorry for posting in such an old thread but i really wanted to thank you,kentucky777 for the files you posted above.I downloaded them and put them in the bin folder of MGS2 and guess what? IT'S WORKING!!! 10 years ago i bought this game but i never managed to run it in any of my old computers,even with all the help from the net,always that black screen error.After all those years,i can finally play the game in all its glory! Dsound files fixed that for me,confirmed MGS2 running on Windows 10 Pro 64bit,Compatibility mode set to Windows XP SP2 and running as administrator.Thank you once again,kentucky777!
