I really liked the series years ago, doesn't seem to have the stealth factor like snake used back in the day

Rising isn't really a Metal Gear game. It's a hack and slash action game similar to DmC set in the Metal Gear Universe. It's a spin off title, not a proper sequel.

It's fun, but if you want MGS wait for V. Rising is just supplemental material to expand the universe a bit. Plus, it's really short and not very difficult.
