cann't get Metin 2 (an internet game) to run under w7. When I click the installation icon it says: Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.

In another post on this site there was a link to a small program that could add a line to the register. After adding the line, there was a command at the right mouse click that gave admin rights.

Any solution is good though

Hello! Click RPM on Metin2 folder and go to properaties. Next go to Security and click Users(your username\user) and click edit. Mark all (Full Controll , Modify , Read & Execute , List folder contents , Read , Write , Special Permissions). click OK and Try run now ;]

ok,try this option right click your metin 2 icon go "Security" and press "SYSTEM" then see down and FULL CHECK the "Deny" then press "ok" then Run it as Administrator then play. i tried this to and it works i dont know if it work to others so try this option too goodluck

sorry i type a bit wrong after u go "Security" PRESS "SYSTEM" then press "Edit" it down right then you full check deny and then Run the metin2 as administrator xD

if ir doesnt still works do this also right click the metin icon go "Security" press "authenticated Users"see down at the right edit then ull see down Allow And Deny when u see that check at the allow[down at the allow(check everything ex.full control,modify,read & execute,etc... exept the "Special permission")]after u do check also the "SYSTEM" but this time to Deny not Allow check everything to down to Deny,one more last you will go User its to the last check TO THE ALLOW NOT DENY check everything after press ok then right click your your metin icon again and pres "Run as administrator" if the download always interupt open and open the metin icon(as administrator) until it finish the download then everything will be fine . Sorry for the other reply
