Hi. I'm hoping someone can help me. I have looked all over different forums and similar problems and solutions, but nothing is working right for me.

I am running Windows 7 on my new Macbook Pro and trying to talk on Ventrilo, but I can't seem to get the mic to work with it. My headset mic is not working in any capacity. My built-in mic seems to be working okay with the operating system, but Ventrilo isn't recognizing it, so I still am unable to talk on Ventrilo. I would ideally like to be able to use my headset mic, but if anyone knows how to get the built-in mic to work I can make do. Thanks a lot.

Sometimes ventrilo is goofy with mic detection. Go into setup and change around the "Input Device" and "Hardware input mixer". I know for my microphone to work I had to change Hardware input mixer to my realtek audio device.
