I'm looking at getting a Razer DeathAdder mouse. Price isn't bad for the kind of mouse it is. Mainly, I want a good mouse to replace the mouse I got with my system. I want it to match my Razer Lycosa keyboard, and the blue cold cathode and LED fan lighting of my case, so the DeathAdder is appealing as far as that goes.

I just noticed the poor reviews on the keyboard I have. I must be lucky, because mine has been great for me.

What mouse do you use or want to get and why?

I was looking at getting Razer | For Gamers. By Gamers.

but i have now decided i will get the SteelSeries – World of Warcraft®: Cataclysm

The main reason for going with the cataclysm mouse is i think the buttons are positioned better, a lot of the reviews on the naga mice say the 12 buttons are hard to reach, realistically you would only use 8 - 6 so it would seem i am wasting money but the cataclysm mouse has buttons that can be used by all your fingers.

i will be able use all of the buttons with the cataclysm.

I have had my deathadder for a few years now, I think since 2004 or 2005... Still works great, and looks awesome. Razer's mouse software is awesome too.

Had a Lachesis, was a bit uncomfortable and some of the buttons were a bit awkward to reach. Had to replace it when the scroll wheel stopped working all the time.

Using a Deathadder v2 , much more comfortable but I miss the extra buttons on the top that lachesis had. Quality is a bit iffy.

A lot of Razer products these days are pretty poor quality wise.

I hate mices. I use keyboards with trackballs. A lot easier on the hand and arm.

I am a trackball user when productivity is my primary concern...I use the Microsoft Trackball Explorer (I've got 3 at home and 1 at work). For my gaming box, I use a Logitech G9. I like that mouse because it feels right in my hand and only cost me like $40 from Bestbuy.com when i bought it.

The Trackball Explorer is a mouse. I have a similar one from Logitech too - for my laptops. But usually I use a keyboard with trackball like this one: RF Wireless Keyboard with Optical Trackball The trackball is top, right.

I preffer Razer DeathAdder 3500dpi version
already using it 1 year

That's the version I had that died on me yesterday. It was nice while it lasted.

Neither of my Razers made it past the 1 year mark :(

Took it back to the store, wanted a Logitech - they had no models in stock so I had to settle for a Sidewinder x5.

On the plus side I walked out of the store with $44 more than I had than when I walked in and my 3rd fallback mouse option...
