Correct. Just less expansion slots and possibly a few less features due to the smaller size, other than that they will perform the same.

Yuppers. the mATX are used a lot in Home Theater PC's having small and unobtrusive cases and will fit well in mini-towers.

I've used numerous MicroATX boards for desktop builds as well, simply so that I can more easily use smaller cases. I almost never have a need for all of the possibility capacity in a full size ATX board.
