My Computer came with preinstalled "Realtek HD audio manager" as an audio driver, at first it was alright but after a year the microphone was recording a very buzzzy irritating sound suddenly. I tried reinstalling Realtek Audio manager but nothings worked and i thought there must be some hardware related issues with microphone and I left it as it is. But one day I installed windows 8.1 on an another partition(Dual boot with windows 7) and microphone is working fine in windows 8.1! but not in windows 7..what can be the problem in windows 7, is there anything i need to reinstall apart from Realtek HD audio manager! Please Help :(

Did you completely uninstall the Realtek, restart the PC and then reinstall? If not that is the next step.

Go to the Device Manager, Sounds section. RIGHT click on the entry for the RealTek and then LEFT click "Uninstall". ALSO check the box to uninstall the driver. Restart the PC and when Windows starts it will detect and reinstall the sound with the generic, basic function, High Definition Audio Controller (assuming it is Windows compatible). Then install the RealTek (which will remove the High Definition Audio Controller (Codec)). See if this procedure fixes it.

As a side note, the 2GB or Memory that you list is bare minimum. You will get much better operation with 4GB (if the PC will handle it).

What program are you using to test the microphone?

I am actually Listening to the device..Recording Devices>>Select device>> Properties>>listen>>apply
Not only in this even recording sound in sound recorder causes this problem ..but this is a bit confusing ..the audio file I save after recording..at first I listen to it its Distorted completely and the same audio after some time is fine! and this problem occurs on every program that uses microphone!

With everything you say you have done, it sounds like a Windows 7 OS problem and not a problem with the sound drivers.
