Hi

Can someone advise me please.
I have a Sony Vaio laptop with Win7 pro 32bit loaded.
In the device manager, I have two high definition audio devices, both the same.
When I setup skype, I select a device to use for the microphone and it works.
when I sign out of skype and back in, I have to switch to the second audio device because the first one doesn't work. And so it goes on everytime I have to switch devices.

The same thing happens in windows under device manager. I tried disabling one of them, same problem. Windows seems to be alternating the devices.

Any ideas.

I have all the updated drivers loaded.
Thanks

Colin

Hi Colin,

For your recording devices like mic's, please check that you have the 'listen to this device' tick box ticked on the device that is the SAME device that is configured in Skype (audio settings / microphone).

Also do you unplug your mic or is it always connected?
