Hello, so i've used my headset and even swapped em out if they broke and had no problems with it. I believe I encountered this before forever ago but can't recall how I fixed it, 2 days I did windows update and turned my computer off for the night and the next day people on Teamspeak say they can't hear me, and it isn't limited to just that. My microphone does "work" as I have tested it on another computer.

I think it may be the input/output or maybe the rear jack got muted somehow with the updates, I have VIA HD Audio and unsure what version or I would try to get their audio deck, i've tried "listening" and its a very high eerie sound and it picks up noise when my music plays. I have tried uninstalling and it re-installing and it worked for a minute but went back to the problem. I've messed with playback/recording settings since it happened and have no luck, any information needed or pictures of something I will provide if able.

If it worked and then as you say powered it off and then powered it on the next day and it didn't work, the first thing to try is a System Restore, using an available restore date that is BEFORE the problem.

If the System Restore does not help, then next step is to recycle the Sound in case there are any Windows corruptions. To do this, go to the Device Manager, RIGHT click on the entry for the sound (VIA) and then LEFT click "Uninstall". DO NOT uninstall the drivers. Then restart the PC and when Windows starts it will detect and reinstall the sound. See if this changes anything.

I've already done a system restore to before I did the updates to no luck, I did the uninstall yesterday as well and it worked for a minute then continued to have the problem, but i'll try it again. I did finnd the VIA HD Audio deck but I haven't had any luck with it either

It's currently working but unknown what really fixed it, because I uninstalled sound devices before (it shows I have VIA and AMD) and it had stopped could've been me messing with audio deck who knows but i'll let you know if it fails again)

The VIA drivers for this motherboard are on the ASUS web site. The latest one is a 2010 version.

Motherboards | M4N68T-M | ASUS USA

Break it down to the basics, e.g. any other program that uses voice such as the TeamSpeak, Skype, etc should be disabled during troubleshooting.
