Microsd card - USB 2.0 - Not detecting

Hello, i have this little thing :

. I have a microsd card with it. It all started off yesterday, before that everything was fine. I putted it in my pc and was adding about 100 files to a 2gb microsd card. Then the window said "not responding". I spammed the "x" to close it, and then said that explorer.exe crashed. I restarted the pc, and I went to "my computer" but it wasn't there. I took it out, putted it in again, no luck. I was putting it in and out, cleaning it etc and still no luck. I reformated my windows, and it came up. I clicked to see the files inside, but it said "please put a disk into the..." bla bla bla. So i went to computer management to reformat it. But then when i went to disk management it didnt show up anything. I'm really confused now. I dont want to buy another one of these. I tried it on the laptop and the laptop bsod.

Hi,

Just a quick note, have you tried it in a different USB port to see if it may be the port that's faulty?

yes, i tried it in 5 different ones. none work.

im pretty sure its the usb loader that is broke. could that be the thing?
