Solved Microsoft Antimalware Error

I get this error in the event logs every time I boot, cold or warm. Can anyone help interpret? No other obvious problems, except MSE seems to take a while to come all the way up.... the icon in notifications changing from "red" error to "green" ok check mark. Tried re-installing MSE, no help. Thanks.

I read the MS articles you suggested and the one from Jacee. After CCleaner option tweak, no change. While working to clean up another issue, I stumbled on an indirect fix. I was trying to clean up traces left behind from McAfee uninstall, specifically the reg key HKLM\Software\McAfee. Regedit choked on "could not find", etc. Downloaded and ran RegDelNull, no success. Went to McAfee site and downloaded MCPR and ran it. Apparently, that reg key and others were in there with "McAfee Gorilla Glue"! After reboot, ALL FIXED! Seems MSE realtime protection is looking at objects in HKLM/Software and could not resolve a null-void-empty-kindanowhere key like HKLM\Software\McAfee.

Anyway, thanks to both for the pointers. They actually helped me dig around for a fix to another boot time error concerning MS Office and Kernel after sp1 installed on win 7. There was a Mr. Fixit to resolve error id 10 messages.

Unfortunately, McFubar has caused quite a few problems with PC's in the past. I had the same problem with it (The PC came with this "so called AV"). 2 months after removing it, I was still finding remnants of it buried deep in the system causing problems.
