Microsoft LifeCam VX-3000

Hi Everyone,

I know there are several other threads on this topic already but I have a unique problem. I can install LifeCam software fine sometimes but the driver never installs for the camera. The few times I get the LifeCam installed, it always just showed up as no camera connected. When I try to use Device Manager to "Update driver software", no matter what I try, the last screen always say, "Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device." Then several lines down it says, " The extended attributes are inconsistent." Has anyone else discovered this problem? I would really appreciate your help! Thanks!

Are you using the latest Lifecam 3.0 software drivers?

Yes I am using LifeCam 3.0.

Thanks for the link. I have gone through most of it already but I will try a few more suggestions from that page. I will report later!
