Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 - Favorites Keys

Hey all,

My 5 year old son, just spilled juice on my 15+ year old Microsoft Natural's Keyboard forcing me to upgrade to the new Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000, It has 5 favorites hot keys along the top, I would like to use those hot keys to open Internet Explorer (No problem), but I would like then I press the Hot key for IE to open several tabs..

So for example, Favorites Key #1 when pressed would Open IE and have 1 tab with Google.com, 1 tab with Yahoo.com and 1 tab with bing.com.

Is this possible? It's seems rather simple, but I can't figure out how to get it to work...

It doesn't say how to open multiple webpages in different tabs in IE....

I tried Google, http://www.yahoo.comI tried http://www.google.com; http://www.yahoo.com


Of course neither worked..

As far as I know that can't be done. One key opens one thing only. It can only open things that are in your system. Tabs are on the internet not in your computer. You could have a favorite to open I.E. and another to open Chrome but only one per favorite key.

This is my understanding but hang in there because their are 3rd party programs that might be available.

Yeah, I'm wondering if there is a command line command or something to open multiple tabs...

hi you can have mualitple tabs open at once with just one favotite button. go to internet options and on generals tab then on home page type in what sites you want on seperate lines that should give you three tabs if you put three sites in thier.

Okay, I found this on another forum...

Save as IEStartUp.js, I have tried it and it works! So all have to do is select the .js file to execute with the favorites button!

The only problem is that the window doesn't open as maximized.. Does anyone know what to do/add to this script to make the IE Window open as Maximized?

You know, you could also set your homepage in IE to be multiple tabs. It does support that, I'm sure of it.

Yep, but then every time I open IE to go to a webpage, it'll open a bunch of websites!


With the script posted above, I have 3 IE windows open and about 20 tabs...


I don't want that to open every time I click the IE icon to go to a single webpage!
