Do I need Microsoft .Net Framework ?
What does it do?

Have read What is Microsoft .Net Framework? ... and I am none the wiser

I am trying to de-bloat my laptop
Laptop is only used for web browsing + email. No online games
Would .NET be required for MS Office VBA?
In "Windows Features" Microsoft .Net Framework is greyed out.
(I do not have MS Office installed although I do have "MS Word Viewer")
Would appreciate any help :)

Hi there .. Some programs use it even if you do not have one now that does you may do in the future .. So you should keep it .. Any how it does not take up much room

Thanks "maxie" for your response. :)

My "services.msc" has two "Microsoft .NET Framework" entries

Services-msc settings.png

Do I need both versions?
Revouninstaller lists both

Thank you :)

Yes, leave them both. Programs often look for a specific version of .NET. Removing any one could cause a program to not work correctly. I don't believe they take up much space. Some things, like the winsxs folder, are better left alone. A Guy
