ok I did something stupid, I manually uninstalled Microsoft office 2010 professional (deleted the folder) I did this because I couldn't uninstall it the conventional way. After I did that I tried to install Microsoft office 2013 beta and it says that there is another install of Office 32bit on my computer. So because I deleted the folder instead of uninstalling it using windows the program was still showing up in the add/remove programs (control panel). I then proceeded to use ccleaner to remove it, it removed it from the control panel but the 2013 installer still detects the old 32bit one.

Try to reinstall 2010 then do a remove program operation. If it works, then load your beta version.
