1. I have many old Microsoft Publisher 2.0A files from back in the day. I thought it would be fun to bring them forward.
2. Purchased CD and installed Publisher 2003 to convert these files so they will open in Publisher 2007.
3. All going A-OK. Cruising along coverting dozens of old 2.0a .pub files and SAVING AS with 2003. They can now be viewed and changed in 2007. Yippee!!
4. Then BANG!!!! Can no longer access SAVE AS. Files only open in 2003 and I can't save as or edit anything.
5. I think 2003 did a secret automatic background update!
6. Restored Win7 to before install.
7. Fresh reinstalled Pub2003. PROBLEM STILL THERE, No SAVE AS option (greyed out). Is there is something that survived the Restore?
Help, I need a solution. I still have 100s of old .pub files to update and save Thinking about uninstalling all of Microsoft Office 2007.
Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you!
