Nice to see microsoft is already working on windows 8, shows they are determined to beat Mac in the next few years

They have to keep their hordes of staff busy somehow. And in 2012, they want to make money too.

I would be funny (to me at least)...if Ballmer got on stage and right at the moment he says Windows 8 is finished...the world ends...

I don't want Windows 8 until I verify it's not another Vista.

it will be completly different from vista and 7 i think. 7 only had minor visual upgrades from vista, it mainly focused on the perfomace because loads of people hated vista so they bought out win7. But i think win 8 will take windows to a whole new level, i can't imagine what it will look like, also what kind of machines and componets will be out by then.

8 will be OS that makes 9 good.

I hope you are wrong...the world doesn't need an off/on OS cycle...it makes things very annoying
