Since I rarely use IE, and never use Bing, I guess my question isn't really relevant, but what real difference does it make whether a search engine uses HTML5 or not? I can understand that it makes a difference with the browser...but search engine?

HTML5 allow to simplify the develloppement and brings a lot of novelty in relation to the HTML4.

Probably a stupid question, but how can you guys tell? Is it because when you right-click on the pictures in Bing, they don't give the option "About Adobe Flash Player 10.x..."?

Well, i do not mind that Html5 in Bing's UI, but actually i'm not seing much about it during search.

I'm only noticing that Google is about half a second second faster for the searching in the "Pictures" Tab and scrollin' is displaying faster than Bing at about 1second on my machine using IE9.

I'm using a lot both Bing and Google.

Well whatever they are doing its broken or very funky on Firefox 4, and Chrome 12 dev version.

1. Select anything from the list in lower right - Kelly Clarkson (today's link anyhow)
2. Click Images
3. Note a page full of images, now mouse over a few and then scroll down, and scroll down again, and just maybe one more time for good measure.
4. Now click 'back' on your mouse or use the back-arrow on the navigation bar -
5. Does not go back to 'main' page where you started, but only jumps back a few images.
6. Now right-click on the back/forward arrow and note the history list... YIKES!

2 reason.
1 Ms don't use flash for their websites. Bing streetside use Silverlight and their video too.
2 There is no need flash to view picture, just HTML and CSS.

Hmmmm, I just made a nice, accidental discovery --- you can save any of the Bing homepage photos (just the photos themselves, without all the "Bing" links) as Screen Savers or Wallpaper! All you have to do is to right-click on the image and select: "Save background as..." and choose your save location. And Voila! Some of the pics are really beautiful!

But I want to know also, how do I know if my Bing is HTML5? I've looked everywhere I could think of to see if I could find out where it's stated, but I haven't been able to find that information.
