Microsoft Research and the Applied Sciences Group have developed five input device prototypes that combine a variation of multitouch sensing to the standard capabilities of a typical computer mouse. Microsoft believes these prototypes have the potential to set a new standard for "expressive interaction." Each device explores a different touch sensing strategy via a different form factor. Microsoft sent us a short five-minute video that demonstrates each of the five prototypes.

Ugly, IMO.
Neat concept tho. I personally use a logitech Marble mouse. No moving the mouse all over the place, and great for gaming!

While they are not very pretty (most concepts are not), They do look extremely neat. Probably just as fun to play with too. ;) And how lame people criticizing Microsoft Research for doing research...

The idea about that is really cool. (I would have never of thought of that myself..) and what about the idea of a wireless multitouch mouse?? That would be cool...

Overall a neat idea from Microsoft Research...
